In Star Vikings Forever you will build your team of spacefaring Vikings to take on the evil scourge of intergalactic snails in a fun and nearly endless stream of challenging puzzles.

Star Vikings Forever is a humorous Puzzle/RPG developed by the award-winning creators of Chroma Squad, Dungeonland, and Relic Hunters Zero.

Position your team of uniquely built Vikings to strategically attack enemies, and clear the board. Enemies aren’t the brightest, and will attack each other whenever they are attacked. This creates a very satisfying chain-combo system, where you can wipe entire boards with a few moves to clear a path to advance to the next stage, or to complete a specific objective.

Take your time and strategize, or for faster paced combat, make multiple moves simultaneously. Puzzles are procedurally generated, allowing for unique and nonlinear challenges every time. Each character has a standard melee attack, along with a special ability attack that will send snails crying home to their shells. Each special ability is unique to their class and provides an additional layer of strategy in solving puzzles.

Clever puzzle game with a great atmosphere and very polished.

9/10. Reverse Plants vs Zombies with KILLER SOUNDTRACK. Lots of guitar and 80's clich\u00e9 opening it's pure gold.
Amazing game to play on my crappy netbook i take to work.. Star Vikings is actually a bit like Plant vs. Zombies - but you play the Zombies not the plants. It is a reversed tower defense game, where you have to destroy the towers (slugs) to get through. You have a variety of "heroes" in your arsenal, the tank, able to withstand a lot of damage, the viking, able to throw lightning on the slugs, "angels" able to cast shields (and healing), ...

Each hero can wear a hat, giving him some bonuses, like extra damage, extra energy, more hitpoints, ...

It is a worthwile casual game and quite nice to play.
On the downside:
- Some daily quests simply don't work (and some are somewhat stupid\/annoying)
- Some achievements are somewhat bugged. No idea how to get the Leaderboard achievement (I guess, the Friends\/Leaderboard feature was simply not implemented yet).
- You need to do a lot of grinding to get the more difficult achievements
- The interface is somewhat optimized for tablets. Not a big deal, but I guess, it would be perfect to play it on a tablet on not with a mouse.

Still, the bugs are mostly minor, I recommend this game to casual players, looking for a reversed tower defense game. Btw.: The game works flawless on Linux (with Mesa drivers).. I've been playing for a couple hours so far, and having a blast.
I don't usually like puzzle games, but this one really got into me, because it's a great challenge.
Besides that, the soundtrack is amazing! I'm listening to it every day.. Thank you for this game.. Clever puzzle game with a great atmosphere and very polished.

(And if you don't like the song, you obviously have horrible taste and shouldn't be allowed to buy anything ever)

Seriously though, if you're a fan of the genre you'll have a blast with it. The level generation works beautifully, and makes it impossible to get bored. Give it a try!. A terrific puzzler. A series of chess puzzle type challenges (with a few random elements), overlayed with a fun silly story and fun silly graphics, and enough of a leveling-up mechanism and party-choosing to keep it fresh for quite a while (though you definitely do max out fairly quickly and settle on an optimal party that you can use for most everything).. You should buy Star Vikings<\/b>. It is a game with a fantastic gameplay<\/b> for those who enjoy puzzles<\/b>. The Vikings attack the snails with hits that cause chain reactions<\/b> creating a very good feel<\/b>. The music and all sound effects<\/b> are exciting. It is a casual game in its essence but you need a lot of intelligence to do well in puzzles. I really liked it<\/b>.

This is a free update for all current owners of the game. Earlier this year Rogue Snail announced their partnership with publisher Akupara Games[www.akuparagames.com], who is working with them on this release.

There are a lot of little updates and bug fixes, but most notably we added NEW GAME PLUS! Once you beat the game, play it again with your same party, fighting harder enemies, and upgrading your Hats to the EXTREME!

Thanks a lot for all the help with the game's Beta. Your feedback and gameplay videos have been invaluable.

We are releasing the first major update to the Beta. The game is almost content-complete, and you can now finish it. Just be aware that the cutscenes are still very unpolished and their low quality can spoil the experience a bit.

Our first major change in response to your feedback was the interface: you told us that it is too big and too "mobile-y". We made it big to match our inspirations (PopCap games from the early 2000's, mostly), but we understand that for today's standards they look uncomfortable and they make the game look like a mobile port.

We hope you like the new look for the interface! Our Shop is still unfinished though, so it still looks ugly (sorry!).

Next update: the ranked "Trials of Valhalla" mode! (that's the big green gate on Snail Planet, for those of you who asked).
